I had the privilege of contributing to Dune: Awakening during its early pre-production phase at Funcom. It was an inspiring experience working alongside such a talented and passionate team, exploring a wide range of ideas and visual directions for the world of Arrakis. During that time, I created several terrain and environment materials for prototyping purposes — though I’m not sure how many ultimately made it into the final game.
I’m especially thankful to Luke Kopycinski, Richard Cawte, and Jeff Hatton, with whom I had the pleasure of collaborating closely. It was an honor to be part of the creative process for such an ambitious project.
